Used Herbs

Bearberry Leaves (Uvae Ursi Folium)
Parts used: Leaves
Uses: Diuretic, Antiseptic. Specifically used in kidney, urinary tract (bladder) infections.
Caution: Should not be used by pregnant and nursing women and by children under 12. If swelling occurs as a result of heart or kidney malfunction, discontinue use.
Not be used with acid-forming food.

Birch Leaves (Betulae Folium)
Parts Used: Leaves
Uses: Acts as a diuretic, anti-inflammatory, and pain reliever. Good for urinary tract infections and joint pain.

Black Elder Flowers (Sambuci Flos)
Parts Used: Flowers
Uses: Antispasmodic, diuretic, diaphoretic, laxative, emollient. Used in the treatment of colds and nasal catarrh, or alone as a gargle in throat infections.
Also of value with other remedies in cystitis, rheumatism, bronchitis, haemorrhoids and constipation.

Knotgrass Herb (Polygoni Avicularis Herba)
Parts Used: Stems
Uses: Astringent, diuretic, weak hypoglycemic. Flavonoids together with soluble silicate acid and tannins act as diuretic - it results in increasing not only urine production, but also waste of non-desired metabolites. Tannins accelerate mucous membranes healing and lower capillary permeability. Mild reduction of blood sugar levels.

Nettle (Urticae Herba)
Parts used: Leaves, Stems
Uses: Acts as a diuretic, expectorant, pain reliever, and tonic. Good for anemia, arthritis, rheumatism, hay fever, and other allergic disorders, kidney problems, and malabsorption syndrome. Improves goiter, inflammatory conditions, and mucous conditions of the lungs. Used in hair care products, helps stimulate hair follicles and regulate scalp oil build up. (Root is good for benign prostatic hyperplasia.)

Parsley Root (Petroselini Radix)
Parts used: Roots
Uses: Diuretic
Helps bladder, kidney, liver, lung, stomach, and thyroid function. It relieves gas, stimulates normal activity of the digestive system. Good for kidney disease, bed-wetting, fluid retention, obesity gas, halitosis, high blood pressure, indigestion, and prostate disorders.

Uses: Diuretic Effect.
Irrigation of the urinary tract, especially in cases of inflammation and renal gravel, and aids in the treatment of bacterial infections of the urinary tract.

Yarrow Herb (Millefolii Herba)

Uses: Diuretic and anti-inflammatory, cholagogic, carminative, spasmolytic, antipyretic. Stimulates gastric secretion. Fresh leaf alleviates toothache. Regulates menstrual periods.
