Chamomile (Chamomillae Flos)
Parts used: Flowers
Uses: Reduces inflammation, stimulates the appetite, and aids digestion and sleep. Acts as a diuretic and nerve tonic. Helpful for colitis, diverticulosis, fever, headaches, and pain. Good for menstrual cramps. A traditional remedy for stress and anxiety, indigestion, and insomnia. Useful as a mouthwash for minor mouth and gum infections.
Caution: Should not be used daily for long periods of time, as this may lead to ragweed allergy. Should not be used with sedatives or alcohol.

Coriander (Coriandri fructus)
Parts used: Fruits
Uses: Aromatic, Carminative

Hawthorn Leaves with Flowers (Crataegi Folium Cum Flore)
Parts used: Leaves, Flowers, Fruits
Uses: Dilates the coronary blood vessels, lowers blood pressure and cholesterol levels, and restores heart muscle. Decreases fat deposit levels. Increases intracellular vitamin C levels. Useful for anemia, cardiovascular and circulatory disorders, high cholesterol, and lowered immunity.

Horsetail (Equisetum arvense)
Parts used: Stems.
Uses: Acts as a diuretic, lessens inflammation, and reduces muscle cramps and spasms. Aids calcium absorption, which promotes healthy skin and strengthens bone, hair, nails, and teeth. Bolsters healing of broken bones and connective tissue. Useful for the teatment of arthritis, bone diseases such as osteoporosis and rickets, bronchitis, cardiovascular disease, edema, gallbladder disorders, gout, muscle cramps, and prostate disorders. Used in poultice form to reduce bleeding and accelerate healing of burns and wounds.

Lemon Balm herb (Melissae Herba)
Parts used: Stem
Uses: Sedative, Carminative, Antispasmodic. Used to treat nervous tachycardia and restlessness. Some hypotensive action.

Mistletoe Herb (Visci Albi Herba)
Parts used: Stems
Uses: Hypotensive, Cardio-Active, Diuretic, Sedative, used in combination with other remedies to treat hypertension, nervous complaints.
Comments: Being examined for possible anti-cancer affects.

Peppermint Leaves (Menthae Pip. Herba)
Parts used: Stems, Leaves
Uses: Increases stomach acidity, aiding digestion. Slightly anesthetizes mucous membranes and the gastrointestinal tract. Useful for chills, colic, diarrhea, headache, heart trouble, indigestion, irritable bowel syndrome, nausea, poor appetite, rheumatism, and spasms.
Caution: May interfere with iron absorption. Should not be used by nursing mothers.

St. John´s Wort (Hyperici Herba)
Parts used: Stems
Uses: For depression and nerve pain. Helps control stress.
Caution: Large amounts can cause heightened sun sensitivity, especially in light-sensitive people. Should not be used by people who take prescription antidepressants or any medication that interacts with MAO inhibitors. Should be used with caution during pregnancy.
